Every peony has a story. We're going to save them.

Old peonies get dug up, left behind, or forgotten in an overgrown bed all the time — each one older than the house next to it, carrying decades of history no one wrote down. We want to find them, learn their story, and give them a new home. [Add your own line here about how this idea started.]

The idea

A rescue, not a nursery.

We're not starting from seed catalogs. We're going looking for peonies that already have a past — an old homestead, a plant someone's grandmother grew, one about to be dug up and tossed — and giving each one somewhere to keep growing.

One
Find them

Old plantings, estate sales, a bed about to be cleared — anywhere a peony's about to lose its home.

Two
Learn the story

Where it came from, who planted it, how long it's been there — the history that makes it worth saving.

Three
Give it a home

Replanted here, cared for, and — someday — passed along again with its story attached.

A peony can outlive the house beside it.

Left alone, a peony can bloom for fifty, even a hundred years — long enough to outlast the families who planted them, the houses that were torn down, and the gardens that grew wild around them. That's exactly why they're worth finding: every overgrown peony still blooming somewhere has already survived longer than most things do. It deserves somewhere to keep doing that.

Nothing to see yet — just an idea worth planting.

There's no plot of land, no rescues home, not even a first peony yet — just hope, and a story we want to start collecting. [Add a line about what "later" looks like for you, if you know.]
